Comparative Study on Thermal Performance of New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries

With the new energy vehicles’ rapid rising, fast charging and discharging of power battery is gradually becoming mainstream working mode. The heat transfer characteristics pack at different rates charge/discharge during are studied by numerical simulation. dissipation effects pure phase change material (PCM) cooling liquid coupled with PCM on module compared, control above two methods temperature difference maximum analyzed. simulation results show that when 5C releasing, optimal velocity flow 0.05m/s, kept within 47.33 ∘C, 3.39 ∘C. Compared mode, reduced 34.57∘ C, 1.14 Therefore, system has a good effect under condition discharging.
